Several different transports of donated dog food were delivered by several Operation Roger drivers from an Oklahoma rescue with an abundance of food to rescues in OH, KY, and UT.
The Cedar City,UT, was noteable in that Operation Roger driver Mike W picked up quite a few 50# bags in OK and transported them to Las Vegas, NV, and into the bed of his son's pickup truck. His son and his family were on their way to UT which took them through Cedar City where we knew a cat rescue was needing help. Now this was dog food.
The cat rescue was in the process of a fund raiser when this NV pickup filled with dog food showed up unannounced. Somehow the local tv/radio station(s) got wind of this NV pickup's arrival. The word went out of the rescue's need and the commotion following resulted in a tremendous outpouring of help by the local community.
